Last week, Forbes announced the 100 most powerful women, and many of them are over 40. This got me thinking about which of these influential women are the most stylish. Here are my top picks:
1. Michelle Obama (48)
Michelle Obama definitely knows how to dress. She usually opts for simple shift dresses but makes them stand out with fantastic colors.
2. Miuccia Prada (63)
I had to include Miuccia Prada, the creative force behind Miu Miu and Prada, who crafts some of the most sought-after fashion.
3. Anna Wintour (62)
With access to clothes from the best designers in the world, it’s no wonder Anna Wintour always looks stylish.
4. Jennifer Lopez (43)
Jennifer Lopez, though sometimes over the top, almost always looks stunning. She was especially polished during her time as an American Idol judge and can still rock a mini dress like no other.
5. Diane Von Furstenberg (55)
Diane Von Furstenberg is a champion of the bohemian style, often seen in unique prints and beautiful wrap dresses, and sometimes just in classic black and white.
6. Aung San Suu Kyi (67)
Aung San Suu Kyi exudes elegance in her traditional Asian attire, often accessorized with a flower in her hair.
7. Oprah Winfrey (58)
Oprah sets a great example for dressing with curves. Surrounded by top stylists, she always looks fantastic.
8. Sofia Vergara (40)
I may not know her style well, but Sofia Vergara always impresses in evening gowns, dressing her beautiful figure perfectly.
9. Hillary Clinton (64)
Hillary Clinton, despite facing criticism, often looks good in her pant suits. She knows she’s not aiming to be a fashion icon and sticks to what she’s comfortable with.
10. Ellen DeGeneres (54)
Ellen DeGeneres stays true to her tomboy style, which suits her well. I love seeing her in a well-tailored pant suit with a white blouse.
